Return of the Ilkley lads

Published Friday, September 10th 2010

What better way for high-spec Italian motorcycle specialists Moto Strada to celebrate the recent opening of a new showroom in Ilkley than to have an unruly bunch of middle aged blokes rock up on undersized Japanese scooters and generally lower the tone?

Be that as it may, Moto Strada have kindly agreed to support Bankstone’s fundraising ride in support of Yorkshire Air Ambulance by stepping in as one of the scheduled stops on their round-Yorkshire monkeybike odyssey on the 18th and 19th of this month.

Moto Strada’s inclusion on the route will take the monkeybikers within a stone’s throw of one of previous years’ most successful fundraising stop off points the Cow & Calf Car Park and also conveniently close to head monkey Dickon Tysoe’s house. By no means too far away, in fact, for Mrs Tysoe – should she so choose – to consider laying on some more of those delicious flapjacks that so pleasurably robbed one Bankstone News reporter of a filling back in 2008.

Moto Strada specialise in selling and servicing new and used Italian motorcycles. New bikes include Moto Guzzi, MV Agusta, Benelli, Cagiva and Aprilia, with others like Ducati, Bimota, Moto Morini and Laverda going second hand. If you’re a fan of Italian bikes, we warmly recommend you investigate their website.

Moto Strada is Italian for motion street or road bike or something.
