The latest exciting update from Medieval Monkeys command centre (see last week’s story) is that bespoke medieval knight style helmet covers have been sourced. Yorkshire residents will now be treated to the surreal spectacle of cavalcade of monkeybike riding knights in armour touring the county this summer - all in aid of charidee, of course. See accompanying illustration. You can have one too – provided you’re willing to ride several hundred miles round Yorkshire this July.
Meanwhile the Bankstone website’s gallery now features photo’s from last year’s equivalent charity event, Monkey Business - with a video soon to follow. And there’s a new justgiving site for the 2011 event online now at www.justgiving.com/medievalmonkeys. It’s never too soon to start donating for such a good cause as the Yorkshire Air Ambulance Service!
