Proactive third party intervention
We have a dedicated third party intervention team in house whose responsibility is to minimise the cost of claims where one of your policyholders is at fault.
As soon as we are notified of an accident in which your policyholder is at fault, our active intervention team will contact the third party to ascertain whether we can manage repairs and, if necessary, supply transport for the duration they are without a vehicle. This cuts costs by removing the requirement for a credit hire vehicle.
If a vehicle is required, we will attempt to obtain one from one of our panel repairers using their courtesy car fleet at no charge. Should this not be possible for any reason, we will pass the details to a sub-contractor who can provide vehicles at a competitive pre-agreed industry standard rate.
We always aim to minimise third party repair costs by using the own damage mechanisms in place.
Where third party personal injury claims are concerned, following an assessment of liability we would actively aim for early settlement without the involvement of the third party’s solicitor. Should this not prove successful, we have pre-agreed legal cost arrangements in place with a panel of expert solicitors for defendant work.
