Job Title: First Response Claims Handler

Location: Brighouse
Hours: Full time hours Monday – Friday, 7 hours per day working between 9am – 5.30pm. With one Saturday in every four 9am – 4pm

We are looking for talented individuals with a keen eye and excellent customer service skills to join our busy team.

You will be required to accurately gather as much information about a motor insurance claim as possible, assess the customer’s needs and make sure that policy cover applies whilst giving clear and precise information and advice to ensure that expectations are managed right from the start.

You shall be confidently taking calls and setting up new claims as well as queries relating to claims with the help and support of your colleagues. You will offer advice and guidance to our customers about the claims process and how we can assist them, providing high levels of customer service.

Although experience is not necessary, it is essential you have a good telephone manner and are enthusiastic about providing excellent customer care.

Main responsibilities

  • Answering incoming calls promptly and provide excellent levels of customer service
  • Process & interpret information relating to the incident and input accurately into IT systems
  • Arrange instruction of appropriate suppliers depending on circumstances of the claim.
  • Recording instructions and communications relating to the file on the systems
  • Notify the insurers and brokers of incidents and log the claims into their IT systems where appropriate.
  • Offer advice and support to customers when required.
  • Setting personal diaries to chase relevant information and ensure they are dealt with, within service standards
  • Logging and dealing with incoming post
  • Administrative duties
